SAE AMS6431 – Revision N – Steel, Bars, Forgings, and Tubing 1.05Cr – 0.55Ni – 1.0Mo – 0.11V (0.45 – 0.50C) (D6AC) Vacuum Consumable Electrode Remelted

This specification covers a premium aircraft-quality, low-alloy steel in the form of bars, forgings, mechanical tubing, and forging stock.

These products have been used typically for ultra-high-strength structural applications requiring a through-hardening, weldable steel for use up to 600 mDF (316 mDC), but usage is not limited to such applications.
