SAE AMS5382 – Revision J – Cobalt Alloy, Corrosion and Heat-Resistant, Investment Castings 54Co – 25.5Cr – 10.5Ni – 7.5W As-Cast

This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant cobalt alloy in the form of investment castings.

These castings have been used typically for parts requiring high strength up to 1500 mDF (816 mDC) and oxidation resistance up to 2000 mDF (1093 mDC), but usage is not limited to such applications. Extended exposure to temperatures greater than 1200 mDF (649 mDC) may result in hardness as high as 44 HRC.
