SAE AMS4446 – Revision C – Magnesium Alloy, Sand Castings 8.7Al – 0.70Zn – 0.26Mn (AZ91E-T6) Solution and Precipitation Heat Treated

This Specification covers a magnesium alloy in the form of sand castings.

These castings have been used typically for parts operating up to 300 mDF (149 mDC), and requiring moderate strength and excellent corrosion resistance, but usage is not limited to such applications.
