SAE AMS2438 – Revision D – Plating, Chromium, Thin, Hard, Dense Deposit

This specification covers the engineering requirements thin, hard, dense chromium plating on surfaces of ferrous and nonferrous alloys.

This plating has been used typically to provide improved lubricity, wear and/or corrosion resistance to selected materials but usage is not limited to such applications.
